As the National Bank Examiner (Analyst to the Associate Deputy Comptroller) (AsDC), you will act as an operational resource to the AsDC and monitor the performance of the business plan and budget; you will work with other MCBS analysts to coordinate sharing of resources, manage and monitor the work of office support personnel.

Duties
As a National Bank Examiner (Analyst to the Associate Deputy Comptroller), you will:
Analyze supervision findings and other sources of information to identify areas of concern, determine methods of resolution, and recommend appropriate courses of action. Analyze banking industry, economic, and other financial data to identify potential systemic risks and assess the impact of system risk on assigned portfolio and supervisory strategies for portfolio institutions.
Prepare presentations for the AsDC to communicate with OCC management, other federal agencies, and public interest groups.
Work closely with Associate DCs, ADCs, the DC Analyst and other MCBS staff on specific issues and other issues that may have MCBS-wide implications.
Provide input and expertise on safety and soundness and administrative issues. May participate in complex or challenging examination and supervisory activities in banks.
Lead, motivate and develop a staff of employees. Monitor the progress of assignments and evaluate training/developmental needs.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-V band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
Analyzing financial data to identify systemic risk and assess the impact; OR
Providing consulting services to management on bank supervisory issues and operational processes.
AND
Selective factor: You must also possess a National Bank Examiner (NBE) commission reflecting that you are authorized to sign Reports of Examinations (ROEs) for national banks and federal savings associations.
The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
