You will serve as a BOILERMAKER SUPERVISOR I in the Mechanical Shop (Code 930), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will provide technical accountability through expert knowledge of the methods, techniques, processes, procedures, tools, materials, and practices of the boilermaker trade. You will exercise supervision over subordinate workers accomplishing boilermaker and or mixed trade work. You will secure assistance from specific trade experts for the quantity and quality of work performed by other trades. You will carry out Equal Employment Opportunity policies and communicate support of these policies to subordinates.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Ability to apply knowledge of Submarines and/or Surface Ship systems, components, compartments and tanks. 3. Ability to apply knowledge if Advanced Industrial management (AIM) processes.
