Duties
You will maintain, operate, and perform analysis of multiple types of electrical systems to determine extent of repair as required.
You will perform disassemble operations prior to aircraft overhaul such as removal of control panels, computers, power supplies, relay racks, aircraft covers, sensors, radios, electrical connectors, removal of circuit breaker panels, etc.
You will ensure the cockpit is safe for electrical power and then apply electrical power as required.
You will test and adjust various types of relays, solenoids, failure detection transmitters, electromechanical actuators, resolver, switches, and servo valves in complex electrical systems.
You will repair electrical circuits and perform circuit checks for continuity of wires, open or short circuits, resistance valves, capacitance valves, current and voltage readings.
You will be required to have regular and predictable attendance, which is an essential function of this position.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain soldering certification.
Qualifications

1) Repairing, modifying and installing aircraft electrical systems in various aircrafts;
2) Assisting in determining the repairs necessary to correct electrical faults onboard aircrafts;
3) Performing operational checks on components of limited complexity such as heating elements and electric rudder control switches; and
4) Interpreting/using blueprints, technical directives/manuals, schematics, and drawings to assist in developing modifications and changes on electrical systems.
