About the Position: The Army Contracting Command is responsible for acquisition support and contracting for a large number of the Army's major weapon systems, for systems and equipment supporting other services, for depot-level maintenance services, and for foreign military sales customers. #ACC-DTA

Duties

Serve as a Procurement Analyst and Agency Program Coordinator for the Government Purchase Card (GPC) Program. Develop initiatives to improve business processes and expand the program through innovative and streamlined GPC card usage. Advise management, contracting officers and customers on matters pertaining to contracting policies and procedures, to include contracting methods, contract incentives, cost and price analysis and technical evaluations. Review recommendations for processing of unauthorized commitments and unsolicited proposals. Develop policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.

AND In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing Government Purchase Card (GPC) or contracting program management; analyzing regulations to advise personnel on contracting policies/regulations for operations; monitoring purchasing activity to provide account oversight; utilizing automated systems to generate reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Education cannot be substituted for experience. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS11). Applicants must confirm eligibility and minimum qualification requirements within 30 calendar days of the closing date of the announcement.
