This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for HA for Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) Direct-Hire Authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve under general administrative supervision of the Army Community Service (ACS) Division Chief. As the FAP Manager,manages, coordinates and directs the installation Family Advocacy Program independently.

Duties

As the Family Advocacy Program Manager (FAPM), carries out program management responsibility for the installation Family Advocacy Program (FAP), ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meeting customer needs. Hold primary responsibility for the development and maintenance of professional standards of service. Initiate and effect changes in methods that will promote efficient, timely, and available care to customers. Develop installation procedures that outline responsibilities for the execution of the FAP. Assess the special needs of military and families residing on the installation and in the surrounding community. Identify local and national trends in family violence prevention and treatment and makes adjustments in the administration of the FAP. Develop and implements a post-wide prevention and education program. Plan and schedule work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution. Coordinate plans and schedules with other organization managers and customers. Please limit your resume to 5 pages. Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for Social Worker (FAP): Degree: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: Two years of specialized experience in advocacy which includes providing professional non-clinical counseling services interviewing clients individually, in families, or in groups to assess client needs and determine social services that are required to meet client needs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
