About the Position: This position is with the Army Geospatial Center located at the Humphreys Engineer Center Support Activity, 7701 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, VA 22315.
This is a permanent position.
Duties
Serves as the Army Geospatial Center Training Coordinator responsible for planning, managing, requesting, scheduling, conducting, monitoring, and evaluating training programs/classes for assigned civilian, military, and contractor AGC personnel.
Exercise full program management and authority to develop training plans, policies, administration, and programs affecting organizational missions.
Utilize various training systems to manage course enrollments, employees' training records, and training/class offerings.
Advise Directorate Chiefs and Branch Chiefs of required training needs, including but not limited to, necessary equipment, software, supplies, and other materials.
Advise AGC leadership regarding requirements for mandatory training and recommend which employees should attend based on training records history.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and/or maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position requires the incumbent to travel up to 25% of the duty time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes plan, schedule, and execute long-range implementation of major projects regarding the effectiveness of the organizational training program; coordinate all government and non-government training classes to include scheduling, announcing, and set-up for trainings; and manage organizational training program to ensure training requirements are met and recommend training ; provide administrative support for travel orders and travel-related needs for trainings requiring travel.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
