This National Guard position is for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC - TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1063000 and is part of the KY AASF, National Guard.
***NOTE: Current on-board applicants (AREA 1, Title 32 technicians) will retain current tenure.***
Duties
As an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC - TITLE 32, WG-8852-12, you will manage, monitor and perform overall maintenance within the CAMP and FAA framework, servicing, inspections and documentation for highly technical, high performance military aircraft. Perform work in complex conditions under time and/or mission constraints to include all weather and night operations. Certify work of journey level workers in other trades working on the assigned aircraft. Certify aircraft as airworthy before being released for flight. Perform preflight, thru flight, and post-flight inspections and scheduled or unscheduled maintenance. Control and perform work assignments based upon priorities, workload availability of parts, facilities, material and personnel. Observe and inspect work performed by other workers work to insure compliance with applicable technical publications, directives and local policy. Accomplish operational tests of aircraft systems and components. Diagnose and solve malfunctions of aircraft systems and components. Clear Red X status symbols on aircraft forms for work performed by others. Participate in Maintenance Test Flights and operational flights as a crewmember. Plan, develop and conduct training to workforce comprised of Full Time Support (FTS) and unit personnel. Prepare for and participate in readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and support exercises. Participate in various periods of temporary duty away from the place of assignment, as required. Comply with safety, fire, security, environmental, and housekeeping regulations. Ensure material and equipment are properly and safely maintained and protected. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Experience removing and replacing aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and making adjustments and settings according to established specifications. Must be skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have 18 months experience installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification. Experience coordinating the work of other mechanics, and scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow. Must have the ability to instruct lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulic components, and fuel controls sufficient for the exhibit to be returned to its shipping container.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Resume must have complete dates (Example 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981 or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981), work schedule, and hours worked per week of employment.
