As an Engineering Technician, you will serve in the regional Fire Protection Branch with special competence in the understanding of the design of fire protection systems, fire alarm systems, fire sprinklers, standpipes, fire pumps and special hazards. Location of position: Public Buildings Service, Office of Facilities Management, located in Region 8 Rocky Mountain Region. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
  • Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
  • Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable
  • Register with the Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959

Qualifications

Specialized experience is defined as experience designing and installing fire alarm emergency voice communication systems. Ability to plan, review, inspect, test, commission, and troubleshoot fire alarm and fire protection systems. Experience conducting cost estimation of fire alarm and fire protection systems.
