This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

Performs assignments with oversight in compliance with established policies and procedures of the Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA) policies. Uses corporate automation systems Logistic Modernization Program (LMP) and the Automated Time and Attendance Production System (ATAAPS) to create, maintain and retrieve data, files and records management. Performs a full range of standard and non-standard clerical assignments and resolving a variety of non-recurring problems. Serves as primary timekeeper for a directorate within Crane Army Ammunition Activity, as well as alternate to primary timekeepers. Provides guidance to management and staff on current timekeeping, leave, labor policies, and regulations.

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: performing clerical data entry tasks for routine and non-standard timekeeping and pay issues; monitoring timesheets submissions to ensure all timesheets are submitted and approved by the required deadline; reviewing reports throughout the payroll cycle to ensure no mismatches or rejection occurs; reviewing time for accuracy prior to uploading into automated payroll systems. OR Education Substitution: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify for the NK-02 level if you possess four years of education above the high school level leading to a bachelors degree obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Term Positions: Position will be filled as a term appointment NTE 2 years. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of eight years. Employees on term appointments will be separated at the end of the term appointment date if the Not-to-Exceed (NTE) date is not extended. Permanent employees who accept term appointments will not have placement rights to the previously held permanent position at the end of the term appointment. Employees on term appointments will be separated at the end of the time-limited appointment date if the Not-to-Exceed (NTE) date is not extended.
