Serve as a facilities Assistant performing various administrative and clerical duties in support of the Sparkman Center and the G4 Sparkman Management Office.
Duties
Serve as the Facilities Assistant for the John J. Sparkman Complex Loading Dock, responsible for the management and support of the Sparkman Complex which consists of over one million square feet of administrative space.
This includes aiding in PII management, assisting with deliveries, supplies required, transportation, providing reoccurring reports, statistics, etc.
Assists in reviewing request for relocation/renovation of office space to include ensuring that the request is following applicable directives and meet specific organizational requirements.
Coordinate the delivery of copy paper throughout the Sparkman Complex, tracks and reports usage for ordering and funding requirements.
Requirements

- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties. Are you willing and able to meet the lifting requirement.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time. Are you willing and able to travel away from your permanent duty station up to 5% of the time.

GS-05:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing administrative support duties such as establishing, updating, and maintaining office records of various types. Maintains, purges, and dispose of records/files in accordance with office regulations and procedures.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
GS-06:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Utilizing automated systems to enter data, 2) reviewing documents for completeness, and 3) maintaining office files. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). 3) Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
