About the Position:
This position is under the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, G4 (Command Internal Logistics) located at Redstone Arsenal, AL.
Position may be filled as a temporary promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions, may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
Duties
Coordinates maintenance and repair activities for large military administrative type facilities, or complexes of facilities, over $500,000 square feet or 2,000 occupants.
Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections of buildings and equipment for large military administrative type facilities, or complexes of facilities, over $500,000 square feet or 2,000 occupants.
Coordinates physical space moves.
Communicate safety hazards to other members of workforce.
Manage facility modification projects as required to ensure that projects are completed in a timely manner, and within budget constraints.
Advise the Building Manager of ongoing assignments to accommodate rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Industrial safety, security processes and procedures and facilities maintenance. Maintenance repairs, database management system, budgetary requirements and knowledge in technical documentation and standards. Construction plans and engineering design drawings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: facilities operations, facilities management, property management, or other related fields of study.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
