This position is located at US Mint,San Francisco Mint-MANUFACTURING DEPT/San Francisco. As a Supply Technician, you will be performing a variety of duties, related to supply operations including procurement, receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control of supplies and equipment at the facility.

Duties

As a Supply Technician, you will: Manage overall operation of supply including Catalog creation, acquisition, storage, issue, utilization, disposal, and providing material support for special programs. Analyze, develop, evaluate and implement improvements in the policies, plans, methods, and procedures of the Supply Inventory System. Make forecasts of material/supply needs using available information such as past usage, funding projections, source availability, and projected changes in production levels and/or organization's mission.

Requirements

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-08, you must have (52 weeks) one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: - Accounting for, controlling, and maintaining balances of supply inventory using an automated inventory system; AND - Preparing purchase requests; AND - Conducting periodic inventory of supplies and equipment.
