This position will be assigned to the Air Force Service Center at Port San Antonio, TX. This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.

Duties

Serves as a Business Analysis Manager section Chief monitoring financial transactions, contractor performance and compares budget to actual results. Revies APF, NAF and FTI budget submissions and coordinates revisions with appropriate section chiefs. Responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with assigned special projects related to AF strategic Initiatives, i.e FTI and other business plan deliverables. Provides information and recommendations to the Chief, Food and Beverage Branch, Air Staff, Installation Support Division (ISD), installations, and internal units on issues concerning the Food Transformation Initiative (FTI) and Air Force (AF) Strategic initiatives. Responsible for planning and scheduling work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term and long term priorities as the apply to the FTI, and other business plan deliverables; assigns work consideration of mission requirements and employee skills. Prepares and submits both NAF and APF budgets to higher headquarters in the areas relating to the growth and development of AF food and beverage programs worldwide. Identifies information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstance or events. Prepares plan of action for changes required in operations based on financial analysis. Identifying underlying principles, reasons, or facts or information by breaking down information or data into separate parts. Executes and coordinates options for solving specific FTI challenges, assists in selecting the best solution, evaluating the solution through design and construction, ensuring it continues to meet business and financial needs. Oversees the development, tests and implementation of new and/or improved methods for AF Strategic initiatives and the Food Transformation Initiative. Oversees preparation and finalization on RFI's and RFP's and when appropriate meets with AF contractors, and assists with development of future plans. Makes recommendations to senior leadership on timelines and deliverables for FTI and other AF Strategic inititaves related to food and beverage operations. Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • The incumbent may be required to travel TDY as directed by management, sometimes on short notice, traveling by military or commercial aircraft or by any other designated means.

Qualifying Experience: Extensive, in-depth experience with food and beverage operations that support the installation level. Experience developing and executing annual operations plans, goals, objectives, and initiatives. Experience with planning, organizing, and directing the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise a subordinate staff. Experience in written and oral communication to present issues, recommendations on a variety of financial issues through various mediums, such as memorandums, messages, computer-based programs, briefings, presentations, training classes, and workshops. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Ability to develop and recommend innovative approaches and strategies to resolve unprecedented issues and problems.
