You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PUGET SOUND.

Duties

You will perform Authorized User List (AUL) processing, validation, and maintenance functions. You will perform technical screening on all requested materials to ensure materials meet customer requirements as well as ensuring materials are environmentally compliant. You will perform requisition follow-ups and provides status to customers. You will collect and maintain HM operations and usage data and prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports utilizing N-ERP, Material Management Tool-MB51 (MS Access), and various website/programs. You will maintain manual and mechanized data base files required for the Comprehensive Approach to Pollution Prevention (CAPP) and Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA) reports.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current forklift license
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-6 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Working knowledge of established methods and procedures on the Navy Supply System for inventory management and requisition processing as it relates to hazardous materials; 2) Working knowledge of established methods and procedures in Navy systems and programs including N-ERP, HM and CHRIMP; 3) Performing technical screening on all requested materials to ensure materials meet customer requirements as well as ensuring materials are environmentally compliant; 4) Monitoring usage data and researches changes in trends to ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
