You will serve as a WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR LEADER in the MCMWTC located in Bridgeport California of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.

Duties
You will lead a group of 3-5 personnel ensuring that work progresses as scheduled and will review work in progress.
You will answer questions of other workers pertaining to procedures, policies, written and oral instructions and other directives pertaining to water and wastewater systems.
You will check to see that all work is done safely and that all instructions are carried out.
You will ensure that all OSHA and local safety and housekeeping rules are followed and that the Facilities Manager and Facilities Maintenance Officer are advised of the status of operations and work in progress.
You will plan, schedule and perform work to produce safe and pleasant drinking water and wastewater plant effluent that meets waste discharge requirements at all times.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final non-sensitive security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random drug testing.
- You must possess a Grade 2 or higher Water Treatment Plant Operator certification issued by the State of California Department of Health Services, Office of Drinking Water.
- You must possess a California Grade III Wastewater Plant Operator Certification or higher to qualify for this position.
Qualifications
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
