This position serves as Chief, Receiving and Distribution Section with responsibility for planning, developing, implementing, and coordinating section activities and is responsible for the storage and distribution of items available from the NIH Stock Catalog and the NIH Central Stores Supply System.

Duties
As a Supervisory Distribution Facilities Specialist, your duties include but are not limited to:
Providing leadership and technical oversight for the Receiving and Distribution Section
Developing policies and procedures for the receiving and distribution operations
Evaluating warehouse operations to find indicators for process improvement
Conducting safety inspections to identify and eliminate unsafe work conditions
Planning and supervising work assignments for team members
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.
- Employment is subject to the successful completion of the pre-appointment process (i.e., background investigation, verification of qualifications and job requirements, completion of onboarding forms, submission of required documents, etc.)
- Males born after December 31, 1959 must be registered with the Selective Service.
- Applicants must meet all qualifications requirements within thirty (30) calendar days of the closing date of this announcement, including time in grade.
Qualifications
You qualify at the GS-13 level, if you meet the following qualification requirement:
To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level your resume should document experience equivalentto at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: performing the technical aspects of receiving, storing, maintaining, issuing, and physically controlling warehouse stock; establishing distribution and storage work procedures and guidelines; serving as a Contracting Official; performing customer satisfaction surveys to ensure the right types of products are available; ensuring the security of high value and sensitive items; training staff on automated warehouse procedures and equipment.
