Human Resources Division - Duty location will be based within the United States.
The selectee of this position serves as a Human Resources Specialist. You will be responsible for day-to-day activities providing a variety of human resources services including management consulting and advisory functions in the area of classification, recruitment, staffing and placement.
Duties
As a Human Resources Specialist at the GS-0201-13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Review vacancy announcements, assessments, referral lists and personnel actions utilizing automated tools.
Provide technical training to team members for the accomplishment of individual and team tasks.
Provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures and assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution.
Resolve simple, informal complaints of employees and refer others, such as formal grievances and appeals, to the Supervisor or an appropriate management official.
Ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team.
Coordinates, identifies, and helps the Branch Chief balance workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow.
Checks on work in progress and review completed work to see that the Supervisor's instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines and quality of work have been met.

Qualifications
GS-13 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
You may qualify at the GS-0201-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of full-time specialized work experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing duties such as: 1) Experience leading a team by managing the timeliness of recruitment and personnel actions and balancing the workload of a team; 2) Experience applying a wide-range of recruitment/placement concepts, practices, laws, regulations, and policies; and 3.) Experience advising/consulting on recruitment, staffing, payroll and compensation issues.
