About the Position: This position is in the Naval Medical Center Office of Market Operations, San Diego, California. San Diego is a city on the Pacific coast of California known for its beaches, parks and warm climate. Immense Balboa Park is the site of the San Diego Zoo, as well as numerous art galleries, art studios museums and gardens. A deep harbor is the Home to a large active naval fleet, with the USS Midway an aircraft-carrier-turned-museum, open to the public.

Duties

Evaluate and manage DHA and service-related activities, taskers, policies, and procedures. Provide senior leadership and guidance to the Plans and Operations Directorate and serve as the SSO’s senior leader and advisor for Plans and Operations. Track, disseminate, evaluate, and develop current and future operations for the Small Market and Stand-Alone Military Treatment Facility Organization (SSO). Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
