You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the COMBAT LOGISTICS DIRECTORATE (N4) of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU.

Duties

You will be responsible for the accountability of all records of item balances and/or dollar values in accordance with governing regulations. You will control the Logistics Management Program (LMP) inventory levels to maintain stock with dollar-value limits and uses Government Commercial Purchase Card, Blanket Purchase Agreement and other contracting methods to maintain inventory level. You will review, analyze and evaluate gains and losses identified in inventory adjustment reports and takes action to have discrepancies corrected. You will maintain, issue and manage the stock of construction material, tools, and equipment for specific work orders. You will receive and process all requests for materials, repairs, fabrication, modification and special projects. You will maintain accurate record/inventory of all parts, outside repairs, special projects and service contracts being purchased/utilized by the command.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a State of Virginia class A commercial driver’s license with passenger carrying endorsement.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a Government Driver’s license to operate Government vehicles and equipment including various classes of forklifts.
  • You will be required to travel on military or civilian aircraft and waterborne craft, deploy onboard ships, or serve at remote sites as required.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: purchasing, verifying, or managing inventory of unique supplies and equipment applying purchasing, procurement, and accounting process, techniques and regulations; and receiving and verifying ordered items are what is received is satisfactory, relaying any discrepancies to the vendor. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS-11:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

OR

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
