You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Airborne Electronic Attack Systems Division (WXS), Spectrum Warfare Systems Department (WX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 ($142,408).

Duties

You will provide Product Life Cycle support for Airborne Electronics Attack (AEA) systems for acquisition and sustainment at Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island, Washington. You will manage employees working with AEA Systems including Tactical Jamming System (TJS) ALQ-99, Next Generation Jammer Midband (NGJ MB) ALQ-249, EA-18G Growler AEA Systems, and P-8A Poseidon Multi-mission Maritime Aircraft (MMA) systems. You will utilize knowledge of TJS ALQ-99 system, NGJ MB ALQ-249 system, EA-18G AEA Suite, and P-8A subsystems, and components for coordination of mission requirements, deployment, maintenance, and FST requirements. You will coordinate Fleet support activities between Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane, Fleet Readiness Center Northwest (FRCNW), and the Electronic Attack Wing, U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMVAQWINGPAC).

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Work may be performed in office environment, lab work, and Naval Aviation Operational and Test sites.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent grade level) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading and managing product life cycle support projects involving acquisition, deployment, or maintenance of airborne electronic attack systems to support technological advancement and sustainment of electronic warfare programs.
