About the Position: Property Manager (PM) for HQ Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC), G6 Directorate, located at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Manages Sub-Hand Receipt Holder Accounts and utilizes the Global Combat Support System (GCSS) to accurately account for all non-expendable and durable property.
Duties
Manage Sub-Hand Receipt Holder Accounts and utilize the Global Combat Support System (GCSS)-Army to accurately account for all non-expendable and durable property.
Request, receive, and issue nonexpendable and durable property items to Sub- Hand Receipt Holders or designated representatives.
Assure all property acquired, either on-site or off-site, is properly managed.
Review and approve inventory reports to assure compliance with all regulations.
Prepare and execute annual account inventory schedules.
Ensure inventory is properly stored, safeguarded, and accounted for in accordance with appropriate supply regulations.
Ensure inventory discrepancies are accurately documented and reported in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Establish, terminate, and/or transfer all hand receipt accounts as required.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- One year probationary period may be required.
- Must have a valid drivers' license.
- Must be qualified to drive Government Motor Vehicles in accordance with current standards and guidelines.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing supply policies and procedures to manage inventory for incoming/outgoing supplies and equipment; and monitoring supply operations to develop efficient supply program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
