Duties
You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the Logistics Division (HQS6), Headquarters Support Department (HQS) at Naval Network Warfare Command (NNWC).
You will serve as the Logistics Government Commercial Purchase Card holder.
You will be responsible for assisting the Logistics Management Specialist of the Network Warfare Command (NETWARCOM) Ready Issue Supply Operation.
You will be responsible for ordering, receiving and storing supplies and materials in support of NNWC.
You will maintain an inventory of consumable supplies to support the headquarters staff.
You will be required to maintain an electronic operating target (OPTAR) log to track the Logistics Division consumables budget and expenditures.
You will assist the Transportation Management Officer (TMO) with maintaining vehicle readiness, and gasoline logs and reports for the NNWC vehicle program.
You will assist the Facilities Office as needed on minor projects.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
- You will be required to obtain a forklift license within 9 months of checking onboard.
- You must be capable of lifting materials in the approximate weight of 100 pounds onto the Logistics truck, removing the materials and delivering them to their storage location.
Qualifications
Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by:
-Experience using MS Office and Excel software.
-Experience managing spending lines of accounting and credit card expenditures.
-Experience utilizing FedEx shipping, receiving and tracking.
-Experience ordering, receiving and storing supplies and materials.
This position is within the Work Category TECHNICAL & ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT at Work Level ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL, Series and Grade GG-2005-05.
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
