Duties

Serving as a Administrative Officer, GS-0341-14 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Charleston, South Carolina. Serving as an Administrative Office responsible for managing the operations to support the delivery of high quality training responsive to the needs of law enforcement agencies; for formulating and implementing policies which relate to administration and training support program requirements, facility use, personnel activities, and budgetary matters; for representing MRSD on matters affecting TDP operations; and for managing the TDP's logistical and support activities. Typical assignments include: Typical work assignments include: Independently managing all administration matters in support of the TDP Site Director. Providing for the direction, management, planning, and coordination of the TDP's operational and administration programs including oversight, supervision, management of staff, contractors, and managing assigned programs. Managing assigned program responsibilities, developing internal controls and program planning documents; preparing budget estimates and administering available funds; supervising the schedule of assigned staff and facilities, and ensuring equitable utilization of resources and distribution of workload. Assigning program responsibilities including a broad range of administration and training support programs to include technical and non-technical functions: budget, procurement, physical security, facilities planning, development and operations management, human resource management, computer, audiovisual and telecommunications support, safety and occupational health, environmental management, records management, policy and directives management, asset management to include real property, fleet and mail management, recycling operations, recreational support, Partnering Organizations on-site staff services, student services, including housing, food services, supplies and equipment. Providing direct support for the conduct of a variety of administrative inquiries ensuring that programmatic requirements are met, follow-up actions are accomplished, and necessary materials and files are maintained in the division. Formulating policies and reviews, analyzing and revising directives, and standard operating procedures related to the division in support of the TDP Site Director; this includes all contracts monitored by the division to ensure consistency and alignment with established objectives to meet students' and Partnering Organizations' training needs. Ensuring that administration and support coordination functions are provided in accordance with agreements with the Partnering Organizations. Providing direct oversight, supervision, and management of division staff, who ensure that the level of support activities and services provided to user organizational elements are appropriate; coordinating activities and related support services; and implementing program objectives for all administration and training support programs.   • This position is Emergency Essential and required to sustain FLETC’s operations under all conditions.

Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 - next lower grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: providing oversight, supervision, or management of one or more of the following administrative and support operations; contract compliance, asset management, facilities management (operations and maintenance), budget, human resources, environmental and safety, recycling, and resilience and sustainability.
