This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA ACQC/SERVICES PEO.
Duties
Serves a senior IT project advisor and authoritative source of information for decision-making managers and planners across the DoD for IT key projects and initiatives at DISA.
Develops, analyzes, evaluates, and identifies problems or areas where service improvements can be made.
Exceptional skill in applying interpretations of new IT federal laws, policies, and procedures to help in the formulation of strategic plans.
Provides feedback to leadership and stakeholders through appropriate reports, meetings, briefings, and information papers, both formally and informally.
Studies, reviews, and analyzes DISA’s current IT plans and operations to determine current and future information systems requirements (e.g., information systems, equipment, facilities, personnel, training, and funding)

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Overseeing the development and delivery of end-to-end Information Technology solutions to include core (infrastructure) engineering, systems architecture support, and application development along with mastery of interrelationships of multiple IT disciplines, systems development principles, and information management approaches to lead IT systems development projects from design to support.
