About the Position: This position serves as a Logistics Management Specialist performing work on one or more logistics systems involved with the management, visibility, and reporting of asset and/or item data.
Duties
Assists higher graded personnel supporting Armys logistics business processes and associated data in the management of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and non-ERP supply and material management in Army logistics Information Systems (LIS).
Coordinates with other activities, services and divisions. Develops Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), and Systems Interface Agreements (SIAs).
Under the purview of a senior Logistics Management Specialist, develops and maintains appropriate documentation and functional user instructions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 15% of the time.
- The employee must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
- A one year probation may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing the functional requirement documentation necessary to accomplish the operation; utilize automated Logistics Information Systems to include the Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) Master Data; and researching and resolving systems issues and identifying logistics program requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics Management, Business Administration, Computer Science or any other fields related to this position
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
