You will serve as a ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEM MECHANIC in the OPERATIONS DIRECTORATE of MCAS CHERRY POINT.

Duties

Oversee and advise on the use of tools and equipment used for repairing, overhauling, or testing electronic integrated systems. Analyze feedback and control functions in an informational loop where subgroup systems depend on integrated feedback and control through a common data processing device. Diagnose electronic systems malfunctions and trace through numerous units to locate and correct deficiencies. Troubleshoot complete multi-system complexes where functions are performed by numerous systems that are extensively interconnected with data feedback loops. Determine work sequences for electronic integrated system maintenance or repair projects. Develop alternative or more efficient test procedures to improve the repair, overhaul, testing, alignment, or calibration of equipment and integrated systems.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Employee frequently lift, carry, or otherwise handle items weighing up to 40 pounds.
