You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER SUPERVISOR in the 2d Force Battalion, Marine Force Storage Command of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.

Duties

Direct material handling work assignments to verify work is completed in a safe manner. Assign work to junior material handling employees to meet assigned priorities. Answer questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directions from material handling workers to verify proper work methods are followed. Compare received material and equipment to the receipt invoice to verify they match up and are correct. Conduct daily safety checks of material handling equipment to verify operation of safety features or document deficiencies.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current forklift license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to Lead and Supervise I have the ability to independently perform the most difficult and complex tasks as an expert or have been consulted by other employees in difficult situations performing duties including: 1) Planning, scheduling, and coordinating material handling work; 2) Enforcing safety regulations; and 3) Supervising employees engaged in material handling projects.
