About the Position: This position is with the 108th Training Command (IET), Command Group located in Charlotte, NC.
Duties
Establish programs to meet Command priorities
Advise and consult the Commanding General on policy matters relative to Army Reserve programs and specific missions of the command
Develop broad plans for force structure and force modernization activities
Supervise the daily operations of the command through subordinate supervisors and leaders
Approve expenses and assist in creating budgets
Interview candidates and approve selections
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment/Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
- This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes supervising and directing subordinate supervisors on daily operations; managing the development of plans and programs required for budget, resource management, training and logistics, and experience resolving employee complaints, grievances or disciplinary actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted
