Serves as the Program Implementation Manager for programs related to the establishment, modernization, sustainment, and operation of National Airspace System (NAS) facilities and equipment in support of Facility and Equipment (F&E) and Operations (OPS) funded programs. Collaborates and coordinates with team members, stakeholders and program offices on development and performance of project scope, schedule and budget.

Duties

Independently applies experience and advanced technical knowledge to integrate configuration management and safety management system requirements into project planning. Serves as focal point for Headquarters program offices on implementation issues to include funding, waterfall schedules and NAS equipment ordering. Makes tactical decisions during program implementation to manage projects within scope, schedule and budget. Applies project management expertise and organizational knowledge when communicating program and project status to organizations internal and external to the FAA.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the FV-J you must demonstrate in your application that you possess one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level (FV-I or FG/GS-13) level of experience. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform in this position.Specialized Experience is knowledge and experience in ATO budget and advanced experience and knowledge of the technical aspects of the National Airspace System (NAS) equipment, procedures, or safety interventions, including their interrelatedness and functions in order to design, develop, modify, or evaluate the NAS.Please ensure you answer all questions and follow all instructions carefully.
