About the Position: Serves as technical consultant and advisor on Chemical Defensive Production to the engineering offices.

Duties

Assists engineering office in development of estimates for new operations. Develops methods for integrating instructions into the operations from the assigned engineering offices. Inform Officials, higher headquarters and other government agencies on various problems or production practices as related operation. Counsels employees on problems; adjusts formal complaints though discussion with employees and union representatives. Manages production efforts to include receiving components, storages, storage conditions, production, and pack out and shipping. Supervises the employees of the Production Division. Includes production of Decontamination Kits, Large Filters, Individual Chemical Equipment Management Program, and Textiles.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
