DCSA is looking for a Security Specialist. This position supports the Security Programs Office in the day-to-day operations with clerical and administrative assistance. You will also support the Personal Identity Verification (PIV) program, maintain the foreign travel reporting program, database tracking, and coordinating with other DCSA support elements. - Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, specialized monitoring systems, emergency response equipment and office telephone system.
- Proficient with computer for inputting data into various databases, rosters and other documents.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-07) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Knowledge of Security Executive Agent Directive 3, Reporting Requirements for Personnel with access to Classified Information or Who Hold a Sensitive Position. With specific emphasis on foreign travel and foreign contact reporting; Knowledge of common security applications, e.g., Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Clearance Verification System (CVS), and National Background Investigative Services (NBIS); Ability to manage administrative and operational security programs.

Education
If substituting education for experience at the GG-09 level, you must possess a masters or equivalent degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.B. or J.D.
If substituting or combining education for experience, transcripts MUST be provided. Failure to provide transcripts will result in you being rated ineligible for this position.
