This position is in Health Administration Service at the Togus VA Healthcare System and supported catchment area. The primary purpose of this Motor Vehicle Operator position is transporting Veterans to various locations at medical facility and any additional location as assigned. This position is full-time.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/15/2023. EXPERIENCE: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: While operating motor vehicles, the position exerts light physical effort in reaching, bending, turning or moving hands, arms, feet and legs to operate hand and foot controls. May need to exert effort to make emergency repairs, such as changing a flat tire. Frequently, bends, lifts and carries equipment, supplies or materials up to 40 pounds. Work is executed mostly outside operating vehicles in all kinds of traffic and weather on public roads and on the facility campus. The position is exposed to the possibility of traffic hazards. The position is exposed to dirt, fumes, grease and to the possibility of cuts, bruises, falls and broken bones when loading and unloading the vehicle.
