Organizational Location: This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Office of Partnership and Engagement, in Houston, Texas.
This is a non-bargaining unit position.
NOTE: Houston, TX - This position requires extensive travel throughout the Houston metropolitan area and Gulf Coast to include but not limited to Beaumont, Galveston and Corpus Christie, TX.
Duties
As a Community Relations Officer, GS-13 you will perform the following duties:
Developing and maintaining key relationships and promoting agency policies, initiatives, operations and programs with ICE stakeholders and throughout the community;
Developing, supporting and maintaining partnerships with federal, state, and local agencies to identify specific community needs and appropriate delivery and channels for service;
Working as part of a team to coordinate ICE's ongoing participation and attendance at local, regional, and national meetings/conferences; and
Analyzing and disseminating reports and statistics within the area of responsibility and other existing communication channels.

You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
Assisting with establishing and maintaining working relationships with the public for the purpose of disseminating and receiving sensitive information;
Assisting in the planning and the development of Agency communication strategies for outreach efforts;
Organizing and facilitating activities in high level Executive stakeholder meetings and promoting various Agency strategies; and
Assisting in fulfilling mandates that inform, educate, and orientate the public and specialized groups, concerning the work of the Agency through various techniques, to include online technologies.
