About the Position: Plans, manages, and executes the strategic planning integration functions for the garrison. Serves as advisor to the garrison command group and staff on the integration of near, mid, and long-term programs and the installation strategic plan.

Duties

Conduct detailed studies in response to Garrison Commander initiatives. Ensure facilities, training, equipment, and personnel are properly assessed to meet the long-term goals of the garrison. Serve as an advisor to the garrison command group and staff on the integration of near, mid, and long term programs and the installation strategic plan. Assist with the implementation and management of the Installation Management Command enterprise level information technology strategic plan.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • May be required to complete business travel up to 20% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes demonstrated experience 1) Evaluating the impact of changes in legislative and regulatory requirements to long term strategic plans.2 ;) Conducting studies to determine program effectiveness for comparison to strategic planning goals, and 3 ;) Assisting with the review of proposed automated system integration to make implementation recommendations to senior leaders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
