This position is located in Big Cypress National Preserve, in the Law Enforcement Division.
Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately October through April, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year.
Duties
Major Duties:
Resolve especially difficult or sensitive technical problems associated with the collection, deposit, tracking, and expenditure of fee revenue and donations.
Conduct analysis to validate fee transactions and determine the adequacy of existing fee/ reservation systems and technologies. Make recommendations for operational adjustments.
Provide assistance to the fee supervisor and/or higher-level fee manager in the development of new fee/ reservation systems and procedures for implementation above the local level.
Perform a variety of special assignments involving the collection, analysis, and reporting of fee collection data for planning or budget preparation purposes.
Current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special priority selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) must be well qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection. Qualifications
All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-12/13/2023-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.
Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience.
To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: handling, tracking, or depositing monies; using software programs to maintain financial/accounting data (such as fee and stock data); performing fee collection, accounting or financial duties; and using tools or equipment (e.g., cash registers, calculators, etc.) to make sales transactions; ensuring accountability of funds and accurate financial records . You must include hours per week worked.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
