About the Position: Works under the broad and general supervision of the Office of Analytics Integration (OAI) Director. Incumbent exercises professional judgment, initiative and executive leadership while directing, coordinating, molding OAI programs and initiatives. Performance is evaluated based on overall effectiveness in meeting OAI objectives and on end results achieved. Position is located at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.

Duties

Provide recommendations regarding future direction for improving business processes, organizational structures, develop concepts impacting long and short-term policy, goals, objectives, operations, and recommending methods to achieve them. Direct staff and directorates to take necessary corrective steps or to make modifications to proposals to ensure compliance with policies or to provide improved results. Establish team objectives, develop long range plans and identify required resources in order to promote an efficient, economical and progressive organization. Direct and orchestrate meetings and briefings to ensure that stated and implied goals are achieved, and appropriate follow-on actions are completed. Review projects, reports, group and individual performance for consistency with policies, compliance with procedures and regulations, technical adequacy, timeliness and effective utilization of resources. In accordance with governing policy, supports the recruitment, development and retention of a high-quality workforce. Assess organizational strengths and weaknesses and supports open relationships, team building, open feedback, and related productivity factors.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position requires incumbent to be on-call to support classified facility accreditation alarm response requirements. This on-call requirement may include outside standard duty hours.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Human Resources ManagementOrganizational AwarenessPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
