As a Program Analyst, you will:
Prepare and analyze policies, procedures, and guidance documents to implement the Department's responsibilities on environmental matters involving Housing programs.
Work with all pertinent HUD program and environmental staff to develop administrative policies and procedures for Housing programs to implement the National Environmental Policy Act and related laws and rules through incorporating such policies and procedures into HUD program issuances.
Perform broad and complex research on environmental issues impacting HUD environmental policies, including data and mapping analysis, and makes recommendations concerning the findings.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-13 is one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes:
- Researching and drafting policies or procedures for the implementation of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), HUD environmental rules or Housing program rules; AND
-Developing training materials or providing technical assistance related to implementing environmental requirements; AND
- Analyzing program data and information systems and making recommendations for improvement.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Education
The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency. Refer to the
