Duties
If selected at the GS12 or GS-13 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity.
Identifies, develops, and manages process-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, and other process performance critical data to ensure the process area is meeting its performance targets.
Provides enterprise-wide process improvement recommendations to top-level agency management briefings and for submittal to the Process Owner.
Expert analyst and advisor to the Process Owner and other senior agency management on functional program/process improvement initiatives, and the development and implementation of policies and procedures for their process area.
Coordinates and responds to major Congressional, GAO, or IG investigations, audits, and/or inspections.
Analyzes and participates in development of DLA positions on legislative matters, as well as in the development of proposed legislation.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Business Process Analyst your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in grade(General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
GS-12
Identifying risks and developing methods to correct and mitigate future occurrences; Encompassing a comprehensive knowledge of the concepts, governing regulations, principles, practices, policies, laws, precedents, and guidelines governing assigned processes, including risk management and internal controls; Monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating KPls (Key Performance Indicators), metrics, and other process performance critical data; Interfacing and coordinating functional and administrative process policies, plans, and programs within assigned process areas.

Monitors and performs comprehensive reviews and provides advisory services to management regarding impact of performance issues; Identifies functional process issues and develops proposals for new or revised process structures to improve performance effectiveness; Develops detailed plans and conducts complicated management studies pertaining to process performance review methodology and procedures to identify problems and propose solutions to improve performance review effectiveness.

Identifying, developing, and managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, and other process performance critical data to ensure the process area is meeting its performance targets; Ability to use the Enterprise Business System (EBS) applications including system functionality and business capabilities in order to recommend changes other process improvements; Providing process improvement recommendations to top-level agency management briefings and for submittal to the Process Owner; Coordinating and responding to major Congressional, GAO, or IG investigations, audits, and/or inspections.
B. Education Substitution: Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
