This position is located at the United States Mint in Washington, DC in the Planning and Customer Support Division. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will plan, coordinate, and evaluate the logistical actions required to support circulating coinage distribution.
Duties
As a Customer Service Specialist, you will:
Communicate via phone and email with the Federal Reserve Cash Products Office and approximately 175 Federal Reserve Offices and coin terminal locations
Assist the FRB with the daily replenishment of coinage by entering new FRB sales orders and modifying existing FRB sales orders per requests received from the FRB Cash Product Office
Procure freight transportation for the movement of planned FRB coin order shipments from United States Mint offsite storage locations
Schedule transportation to support interbank coin transfers requested by the Federal Reserve Cash Product Office
Research and resolve carrier issues in support of FRB coin shipments from the offsite coin storage facilities, interbank transfers between FRB sites and all other types of shipments.

You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience:
Specialized experience for the GS-13 grade level is defined as one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as:
-Experience in the use of Order Management and Inventory Management modules of an Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) system (Oracle preferred); AND
-Experience maintaining databases containing customer information; AND
-Experience monitoring shipment and production schedules to identify potential problems and initiating proactive measures to insure on time delivery; AND
-Experience in the scheduling, expediting and resolving issues with shipments via common and armored carriers.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
