You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (LEAD VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST) in the VISUAL & TECHNICAL INFO SUPPORT BRANCH of the EOD INFORMATION MANAGEMENT DIVISION in the EOD DEPARTMENT of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $145,617).

Duties

You will lead visual information personnel and communicate to the visual information team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion. You will determine goals and objectives for communications and graphics support, with Visual and Technical Information Support Branch (D14) Head approval You will establish short and long-range work plans and schedules to accomplish the work. You will direct, coordinate, and oversee the work to include assigning and balancing workload, training, preparing reports, monitoring and reporting on the status of work, ensuring deadlines are met. You will be assigned a wide variety of high-priority complex graphic and visual programs/projects which may require rapid turnaround time, and which have a highly significant impact on the operations of the various branches within the Division. You will design and produce original graphic material, develop new concepts, and incorporate visual information material or institute and document new style standards. You will identify and analyze issues, problems, and challenges facing the organization including formulating and evaluating possible courses of action for resolution.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading the design, production and reproduction of the visual aspects of technical publications related to ordnance, improvised explosive devices or other various weapons systems.
