Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Warfighting Analysis Center at Peterson Space Force Base is searching for a Senior Threat Integration Lead - Wargaming Coordinator (NH-0801-04, GS14/15 equivalent).
Requirements
- Must be a U.S Citizen.
- PCS and Incentives funding is not available.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI security clearance.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- May be required travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- This position is not eligible for telework.
Qualifications
This position is covered by the OPM Individual Occupational Requirements for General Engineering series 0801 and Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Professional and Scientific Positions and can be found here.
Ideal Candidate:
Position requires a self-starter who can take initiative to plan and direct red team activities for service level wargaming in support of force design. Position will require heavy interaction within organization as well as with multiple external organizations and agencies, especially with the Intelligence community. Guardian will need to establish and maintain communications with threat experts and be able to research, synthesize and articulate key adversary strategy, intent, and operational employment concepts related to space activities. Guardian will be working in a collaborative team environment and requires strong communication and critical thinking skills. Ideal background includes intelligence analyst experience related to space systems and operations as well as familiarity and experience interacting with multiple intelligence community agencies. Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering desired. Education in a technical field desired.
Education
Basic Educational Requirements
Degree: Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.
