This position is located in Grand Teton National Park, within the Division of Business & Administration.

Duties
This position performs the following duties:
Serve as division and/or park receptionist, processes incoming and outgoing mail, manages calendars and arranges staff meetings and events.
Serve as payroll coordinator for one or more divisions or workgroups, advises employees regarding time and attendance policies and procedures.
Act as travel manager for the division, prepares travel documents and makes travel arrangements.
Maintain personnel records, including sensitive information, and initiates actions related to hiring, promotions, terminations, etc.
Assist park staff with other administrative tasks such as reviewing and tracking correspondence, processing permits, etc.
Draft documents and manages spreadsheets, utilizes Microsoft software and other computer programs to complete tasks.
Physical Demands: The work is mostly sedentary.
Work Environment: The work is generally performed in an office setting.
Area Information: Grand Teton National Park and the John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway in northwestern Wyoming preserve a spectacular landscape. The park encompasses the Teton Range and broad valley of Jackson Hole. Majestic peaks, wild canyons, piedmont lakes, forests, sagebrush meadows and the Snake River combine into one of the most scenic settings anywhere in North America. With 333,000 combined acres, the parks are at the heart of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, one of the most biologically diverse regions of the world. Additionally, the park includes a wide array of cultural resources, including 318 historic structures, two national historic landmarks and over 300 archeological sites.Grand Teton is one of the most visited national parks in the country.
This position is located in Moose, WY. Services are available in the neighboring town of Jackson, a small, recreation focused community of 10,000 year-round residents. The town caters to four million tourists every summer, has an excellent hospital, well-respected school system, grocery stores, restaurants, and seasonal festivals. Outdoor activities abound including hiking, camping, backpacking, horseback riding, boating, biking, fishing, skiing, and mountaineering. Summer temperatures range between 65 - 80 degrees. Winter temperatures range from 30 degrees to below zero with heavy snow.

Qualifications
All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-12/11/2023-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.
Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of specialized experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. For all other applicants who are not current federal employees, your resume must state either "full-time" (or "40 hours a week") or "part-time" with the number of hours worked per week to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience.
For periods of time that reflect military service, the DD-214 or Statement of Service is sufficient to meet the full and/or part-time hours requirement as the service dates will be reflected.
SELECTIVE FACTOR: This position performs office automation, and typing at least 40 words per minute on a 5 minute typing sample with three or fewer errors is required. To qualify for this position at the GS-06 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualification requirement by the closing date of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities performing a wide variety of administrative functions including: serving as primary timekeeper for a unit, ensuring time is correctly entered and addressing routine questions on issues such as leave, pay, etc.; acting as a liaison between Human Resources and hiring managers, entering personnel actions (SF-52s) and onboarding incoming employees through USA Staffing or similar software; arranging travel for employees and serving as the technical advisor for travel processes and regulations; drafting and managing official correspondence for an organization/business including for upper management; using a government or business purchase card and advising others on procurement procedures; assisting budget staff by recording expenditures and collecting and tracking charges; serving as point of contact for government ID/PIV program.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
