This position is in the Office of Transit Safety & Oversight (TSO), Office of Safety Review (TSO-20) within the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). You will lead the scheduling and scoping of accident investigations and the execution of onsite and remote accident investigation activities as the FTA Investigator In Charge (IIC).

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements.To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include:
Experience using principles, concepts, theories and practices of transit operations, transit accident investigation and transit safety in order conduct and manage investigations of transit safety events.
Experience managing a transit department and reporting to senior management concerning operational and safety issues.
Experience writing and presenting operating rules, safety rules, standard operating procedures, reports of accident investigations and safety studies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

Oral and Written Communication
