About the Position: This is a Training Technician(OA) position located at the 101st NCO Academy, Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell is located within portions of four counties: Montgomery County and Stewart County in Tennessee and Christian County and Trigg County in Kentucky. The largest adjacent city is Clarksville, Tennessee. Other nearby communities includes Hopkinsville, Oak Grove and Cadiz, Kentucky and Dover, Tennessee.

Duties

Serves as records manager for the Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS). Works under the general supervision of the Chief of Training, FT Campbell NCO Academy to provide policy guidance and functional assignments. Serves as a Training Technician with the responsibility of monitoring class schedules and managing distribution and fill for training seats for a US Army NCO Academy.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • SECRET CLEARANCE - This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Manages and Organizes Information Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
