About the Position: This position is located at the US Army Tank-Automotive & Armament Command, Human Resources Division in Warren, MI.
Duties
Serves as an advisor to managers on human resource issues, providing advice on staffing matters including management options and alternatives.
Reviews and submits requests for personnel actions (RPAs) for assigned organizations.
Maintains a comprehensive database of personnel/position information that is useful in managing the organization, making organizational decisions, and in extracting pertinent data for various reports.
Maintains suspense records on career ladder promotions, temporary appointments/assignments, deployments, overseas assignments and other personnel actions requiring follow up actions.
NOTE: These duties are described at the full performance level GS-11. The GS-07 is developmental leading to such performance

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Experience required for GS-07 level: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: Organizing information related to recruitment, selection, placement, job analysis, workforce planning, position classification, performance management programs and/or employee awards programs; Gathering pertinent data to assist in providing solutions to Human Resources (HR) problems ; Tracking suspense dates in order to meet deadlines; Communicating effectively through oral and written means. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Substitute Education for Experience at GS-07 level: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For the GS-07 level you may substitute education for experience with one full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or another related field. Combining Education and Experience at GS-07 level: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18.
