You will serve as a WATERFRONT SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) in the Code 950's Resource Office of PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will perform a variety of clerical and administrative functions in support of technical project teams within waterfront projects, production shops, and product lines.
You will advise personnel at all levels (e.g., Project Engineer Planning Managers, Superintendents, Product Line Managers, Shop Managers, trades employees) on the practical and technical applications of office administration.
You will complete assignments that are diverse and multi-faceted, and encompass functions such as correspondence management, supply management, incentive awards, travel, training, and records maintenance.
You will prepare, from draft, a variety of correspondence ensuring compliance with Department of Navy and local regulations.
You will use office automation systems and applications including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point to perform administrative tasks.
Requirements
- The employee must be able to lift and carry items such as supplies or manuals that may weigh between 5 and 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity is required for operation of computer and other office equipment.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the GS 07 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS 06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing administrative support in accordance with established guidelines and procedures for industrial projects or programs.
For the GS 06 position: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS 05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing clerical and technical support gathering and maintaining administrative documentation for an organization.

For the GS 06 and GS 07 Level:
One full year of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled.
