The position is within the FAA Logistics Center and LOB, Logistics Services Team. The incumbent will serve as the subject matter expert and primary source of expertise in the planning, development, and preparation of the FAA Logistics Center’s business plan.

Duties

Completes comprehensive expenditure analysis in accordance with accepted accounting principles. Captures and analyzes expenditures that build Cost of Goods (COG) and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Work-In-Process (WIP). Conducts price variance analysis including latest procurement costs, average weighted costs, standard costs and overhead allocation costs variances. Provides detailed reports and analysis to Group management and staff by analyzing, interpreting and developing reports based on sound professional accounting principles and practices.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • Successful completion of a security investigation may be required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the FV-J (FG/GS-14/15) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level, FV-I (FG/GS-13). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.Specialized Experience includes: experience with a broad range of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques sufficient to accomplish financial analysis for a Franchise Fund/Fee for Service organization; provide detailed reports and analysis by analyzing, interpreting and developing reports based on professional accounting principles and practices; identify trends and provides recommended courses of action that directly relate to the business plan and overall finances; evaluate financial proposals, operating costs and program effectiveness based on labor cost, production capability and other operational elements.ANDQuality Ranking Factor (QRF): A well-qualified candidate will demonstrate evidence of having knowledge and experience with Federal Appropriation Law and Revenue/Expense Recognition within a Franchise Fund/Fee for Service operational environment within their resume.Applicants should provide examples of Specialized Experience in their Work History.
