This position is in the Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system. Positions in the Cyber Excepted Service are positions necessary to carry out and support the mission of the United States Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-JH3.

Duties

Coordinates with the cyber operations community to ensure proper oversight of the JFHQ-DODIN operations, plans, capabilities, and support requirements. Plans, integrates, and executes complex projects and studies involving cyber tactics, techniques, and procedures in the areas of cyber defense, cyber integration, and DOD Information Network Operations. Supports all aspects of strategic, operational, and tactical planning for cyber operations to include the coordination with Service partners and agencies to further the integration of cyber capabilities into long-term operational planning efforts. Leads and participates in crisis action planning events and facilitates the essential communication between JFHQ-DODIN and subordinate organizations to synchronize protection measures and effects. Integrates intelligence and operational information to develop protective measures.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below Basic Requirements: Applicants must demonstrate on their resume that they have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. - Attention to Detail - Customer Service - Oral Communication - Problem Solving Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in developing and advising on cyber planning, operations, and capabilities. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.

Education

There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GG-14 grade level.
