Duties
Serves as the J6 Accountable Property Manager (APM) for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and as the J6 expert on the management of the property accountability program for all IT assets.
Ensures adjustments to the property accountability system are in direct correlation with all DOD, DLA Instructions (DLAI) and other applicable federal guidelines.
Provides technical advice, guidance and assistance to all sites having J6 assets on processes and procedures for all assigned capital and non-capital accountable property.
Prepares instructions, training material and job aids for the effective execution and management of the IT asset account property (AP) program and complies and submits reports to higher Headquarters.
Serves as the principal AP program technical consultant to the DLA J6 command staff and advises on all AP program matters, providing authoritative
(continued) interpretations and guidance to management officials and to DLA J6 Accountable Property Officers (APOs).

Qualifications
To qualify for a General Supply Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Manages the IT accountable asset management program for J6 activities worldwide and establishes internal policy and procedures and provides procedural guidance for the successful implementation and sustainment of program objectives.
Resolves questions and problems related to the Account Property program which could have J6 wide impact.
Reviews higher level regulations, directives, policies, and related instructions and guidance on property accountability matters and evaluates DLA regulations, guidance and policies to ensure agency directives, operational policies and guidance are consistent with the higher- level guidance.
Develops standard operating procedures (SOPs) and detailed internal control design memorandums to more effectively and efficiently conduct business procedures in the A2R business segment.
Education: Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized experience.
