The primary purpose of this position is to support the Executive Office for Directorate by performing a variety of admin functions and tasks related to the mission of Directorate. This position supports and liaises with Armament personnel to include those geographically separated at Robins AFB and Hill AFB.

Duties

Serves as the Executive Administrator for the Deputy Director and, as such, is a liaison between the PEO and Deputy's office and subordinate organizations regarding administrative and management functions. Provides advice, assistance, and guidance on a wide range of issues, subjects, and taskers. Reviews and evaluates complex responses from various Directorate organizations prior to submission to the Director to ensure clarity and completeness of reply. Prepares correspondence, speeches, briefings, and other external communications for the Deputy Director as well as the PEO. Serves as a focal point for the PEO, Deputy Director, and Chief for briefing requirements, presentations, and multi-media events.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year or will have one year within 120 days of closing of this announcement, at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay system. Specialized experience is in organization, programs, missions, functions and command structure, ability to apply analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of Task Management and Workflow processes as well as administrative and management support program operations, preparing correspondence, requirements for various reports, and interpreting new instructions and procedures. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-­grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to various administrative support functions. 2. Knowledge of conventional analytical and evaluative methods and techniques. 3. Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques. 4. Skill in written and oral communications. 5. Ability to research, analyze, interpret, and apply regulations, policies, and procedures. 6. Ability to maintain good working relationships and to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
